According to Matt Stephens, and the Community Impact Newspaper, The Woodlands revenue is up and the unemployment is down!!  The Woodlands and South Montgomery County continue to experience growth in several areas of community development in 2012!

Here are the stats…

Average monthly unemployment rate: 2011 7.16%, 2012 6.08%

Home sales, 2011 3087 units, 2012 3548 units

Conroe ISD enrollment, 2011 52,659 students, 2012 53,919 students

Sales Tax Revenue, 2011 $30.9m, 2012 $35.8m

Population, 2011 100,690, 2012 105,031

According to HAR.com, existing home sales increased nearly 15% for the 2012 year compared to 2011.  That can be directly attributed towards the economic growth of the area.  With The Woodlands Development Company continuing to lure new companies into our area, we are going to see continued increases in both unit sales and price appreciation.   We have now entered the world of the sellers market.   Homes are receiving multiple offers and several are being sold without even hitting the market.  Even though the days on market have continued to drop like crazy, our values have remained steady with a slight appreciation, however, expect that to change over the next year or two.   The current market is ideal for sellers, we just have to make sure the home is ready for the first impression.   The old saying still holds true, price your home right and the world will treat you to a quick sale.  Call Rick Raanes today to find out more about the homes for sale in The Woodlands!  Natures Paradise.
